Spaghetti Night

We had spaghetti for supper tonight and as you can see if is one of Fisher's favorites. She really got into it. We've noticed a couple new words in her vocabulary: outside and pickle. Fisher knows every commercial with a puppy in it. She starts yelling at the TV when she hears it is on.
We are excited because Great Grandma and Aunt Margie are coming to visit us this weekend. They are planning on coming up Sat morning.

Gary and I are both really busy at work. Gary went to work yesterday at 6:30 am and didn't get home until 8:30 am this morning. They were loading a train. Wheat harvest should be over this week, but in a short while beans will start. One of the guys that Gary works with was in the hospital with West Nile and meningitis.

I finished a class last week. I've finally earned my Associates Degree. I have 12 classes left to get my bachelors so I'm going to keep going. I'm taking two classes this fall.

Well enjoy the new pics.............more later.

Bucket Head

Fisher received a bucket for her birthday. She enjoys wearing it around on her head. She is doing good. She has added a couple new words to her vocabulary. She says "hot" and "Becky", which comes out Gacky. Her dad has been working until late at night every day so we've been walking up to the elevator in the evenings to visit. She really likes going up there and playing in the wheat and seeing Daddy. She now loves being chased and thinks it is hilarious when mommy has to chase her to get her dressed. She also likes to try on our shoes.

We've also taught Fisher how to save money. She has a piggy bank that we've been letting her put change into. Now she has every piece of change laying around scooped up and into her pig. She also likes putting bills in there.

After Gary's back problems, he caught a nasty cold. On top of working such long hours, he's had a long week. But he's starting to feel better. So far Fisher and I are healthy.
I've changed the settings to allow everyone to post a comment if you want to. Leave us a message.
Enjoy the pictures. I will try to blog more often.

So far, so good!

Gary went back to the chiropractor yesterday and it seems to have helped this time. He also got a machine that sends electrical impluses in his back to massage it. he says it really helps and feels good. He's back to work today.

Fisher is great. She is completely well again and back to her happy self. She's been eating good and drinking lots of milk. She has a new favorite word "Daddy," but she still loves puppies. It's funny how at 15 mths what she knows. We walked past the elevator Sun. night and she started pointing and saying "daddy, daddy, daddy." She knew we went there to see her daddy. She also knows when we go bye that she needs a purse.

August 11, 2008

Hi all ~
I'm creating this blog to keep all our family and friends up to date on our happenings. So here we go.

Some of you know that Fisher had not been feeling well all week. Friday we took her to Aberdeen to the Dr. and they tested her blood and found that she was borderline dehydrated. They put her on 3 hours of IV fluids. She seems to have snapped out of whatever virus had her down and she is back to her happy self. She is so tough that she didn't even cry when they put the IV in. It bothered Mom more than Fisher.

Gary is still having problems with his back. He is home again today. Last week he was at the chiropractor 4 times. I'm not sure what he'll end up doing, but he needs to get some relief soon.

Cute story....Fisher got all ready for church yesterday and when I said it was time to go, she grabbed her purse (a old one of mine) and out the door she went. We got to church and sat her in the pew. She saw me grab a hymnal so she wanted one too. I put one on her lap and she looked just like a little church lady with her dress, big purse, cross necklace and hymnal on her lap. People in church get a kick out of her.

Take care
H.
